Volley Toggenburg and Berit SportClinic have agreed to work closely together. The medical and therapeutic team of specialists for competitive sports at Berit SportClinic, based in Speicher, and the triage center at Berit Clinic in Wattwil will now be looking after all Volley Toggenburg teams and graduates of the Toggenburg Talent Center in Wattwil. "For years, Toggenburg has been doing excellent work in developing elite young talent and in the elite field of women's volleyball. As a medical partner, we are delighted to be able to contribute to providing the athletes with the best possible care," explains Peder Koch, CEO of Berit Klinik. The chief physician at Berit SportClinic, Dr. Hanspeter Betschart, and his team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. "We already support several top sports clubs and athletes in a wide variety of sports in the eastern Switzerland region. With Volley Toggenburg, we are expanding our spectrum and can also offer the club medical and therapeutic knowledge specific to volleyball," explains Dr. Hanspeter Betschart, who has just returned from his assignment as medical director of the Swiss Olympic delegation in Paris. For Volley Toggenburg, the new partnership is an important piece of the puzzle in the sporting environment of the National League club. "Volley Toggenburg can now count on the experience of a top medical team that is available to our players and coaches around the clock," says co-president Maja Hedinger. Team manager Petra Böhni is keen to ensure that this partnership covers all stages of development in elite sport. "Another big advantage for us is that we have access to the triage center at the Berit Clinic in the former Wattwil hospital. The team in Wattwil works closely with the sports medicine team at the Berit SportClinic," says the team manager, emphasizing the importance of the new partnership. "Access to the medical team is straightforward, and we now have a contact person for all medical questions for all players," says Mäsi Erni, long-time head coach of the NLA team, describing the advantages of the new solution.
