The medical care provided to the players of HC Arbon will continue to be of the highest standard. The proven collaboration with Berit SportClinic and medfit Ostschweiz has been extended for several years. Orthopädie am Rosenberg is now joining the circle of HCA medical partners. The structured collaboration with several medical partners has proven extremely successful at HC Arbon over the last two years. In addition to a significant reduction in injuries, athletes also benefit from faster response times in the event of health problems, rapid initial diagnoses, treatment by specialized physicians, and professional support during recovery. The advantages of the concept are manifold, and communication between the medical contacts and the sports management is excellent. It is therefore not surprising that, after the first two years of the contract, the decision was made to expand the collaboration. The medical concept comprises three phases: 1. Athletics/prevention, 2. Intervention/surgery, and 3. Recovery/therapy. At the beginning of the season, analyses are carried out with all players in the competitive teams. Physical weaknesses are treated in a targeted and individual manner. In addition, each team undergoes weekly preventive training in the hall under the guidance of medfit. Dr. Hanspeter Betschart from the Berit SportClinic, an experienced sports physician who also works as Chief Medical Officer at Swiss Olympic, is available for the initial treatment of injuries. New to the team is Orthopädie Rosenberg, which is available to HC Arbon for all types of procedures with a team of specialized physicians and surgeons. They actively exchange information with the Berit SportClinic team. Any surgical procedures are performed immediately at the Berit Clinic. Antonin Hofmann from Orthopädie Rosenberg says: "We are proud to be the new medical partner for orthopedics and traumatology at HC Arbon." HCA President Andy Angehrn is enthusiastic about the collaboration and the visible, positive results: "Sports medicine support has become a central component of performance management at HC Arbon. Thanks to the good cooperation with our medical partners, the injury rate has decreased significantly. As the linchpin of medical care, Peter Roth and his medfit team support the two Nati B teams of HC Arbon: from preventive training and preventive physiotherapy directly in the hall to regeneration after injuries at the medfit locations.
