Interview anniversary magazine Heidi Flammer

Berit Klinik Heidi Flammer

In our anniversary magazine, we have published an inspiring interview with Heidi Amanda Flammer. She heads the nursing department on the second floor of the Berit Clinic and has witnessed how our clinic has continuously developed without losing its human soul. She has been with us for over three decades.

Heidi describes her varied tasks: "My duties include receiving reports, providing nursing care for our patients, and participating in rounds with our doctors. Strong nerves and flexibility are essential. What I particularly enjoy is working as part of a team – we support each other and create a trusting working relationship."

She particularly appreciates the compatibility of professional development and family life at the Berit Clinic. "The conditions here make it possible to pursue a career without giving up family values. I am very impressed by this humane and progressive attitude."

Heidi also reflects on the transformation of the clinic: "Berit Clinic used to focus on general surgery; today, our focus is on specialized orthopedics. Despite these developments, one thing remains the same: for us, people are people. We treat our patients with respect and mindfulness."

A moving experience for her was meeting a patient again whom she cared for after twenty years. "That shows trust and is the nicest compliment for me."

She wants people to remain the focus, supported by technology that should never replace human contact. The spirit of the Berit Clinic – professionalism, empathy, and respect – should be preserved.
